At the beginning of my tutorial, I want to remember the greatest Coco Chanel, who said that only people who have good taste wear costume jewelry, and everyone else wears gold. Someone may agree with this statement of the great French fashion designer, someone may not. But one thing still remains – costume jewelry always emphasizes femininity and distinguishes its owner from the crowd.
And, to make the bijouterie more exclusive it is necessary to learn to make jewelry by your own hands. Moreover, it is not very difficult, just requires a little free time. So Diy necklace making may come very handy if you like to look fancy.

Necklace with amethyst crystals. To make the necklace we will need:
- Amethyst crystals with holes
- Tiger tail wire (they are also called tiger tail or tiger-tail)
- Suede flat cord
- Metal spacer beads

They are used with all beading wire to secure the start and finish of the strand. Thread through the crimp bead, around the clasp loop, then back through the crimp bead and finally draw the beading wire taut.
- Crimper Pliers for Crimp Beads. You can do without them, you can use pliers instead. You will also need wire cutters.
Usage: This tool can be used to crimp beads and tube beads with the sizes approximately 2mm-5mm. You can use them to crimp beading chain, beading wire, illusion cord and stretch magic.
- Wire protectors
Easy to Use: first simply put your crimp on your Tiger tail then feed your wire up one side of the guardian, then down the other side and right back through your crimps. Pull your crimps up and press as normal.

Move the crimp to the guardian and press it.
On top of the crimp fix a decorative bead.
Hide the end of the wire, slipping it into the holes in the amethyst crystals.
You can cut off the long end of the wire.
Move all the crystals to the guardian. Cut the wire leaving about 10-15 cm to work with.
Thread the end of the wire through the crimp and into the guardian and into the hole in the crystal.
Take the guardian in our hands and use pliers to pull on the end of the wire.
Squash the crimp. Fix a decorative bead.
Cut off the excess wire.
Measure the length of the crystals and calculate how much cord you need to add for the total length of the necklace.
Cut the cord into two equal pieces. The most difficult part of our Diy necklace making tutorial is done.
Attach cord crimp end tips to each end of the cord.
All we have to do now is to connect all the parts of the necklace into one whole piece. Use the circle open jump rings to do this. As you can see, Diy necklace making is very easy.
