Decorate glass bottles
In order to choose a bottle, you should know exactly how you are going to decorate it. You can choose the vessel of the specific shape based on the design of the decoration, that you have chosen before. But usually it is not that easy to find bottles with an interesting shape. It is really difficult to come across them by chance. Further, when everyone knows about your hobby, relatives, friends and acquaintances will start to supply you with unusual bottles from all over the world, bringing them from long trips.
The choice of finishing materials for bottle decoration is literally limitless. There are not only paints, paper and fabrics, but you can also use masking tape, fragments of a broken vase, seeds, grains, eggshells and a lot of other stuff. Use whatever your imagination suggests you.

Decorate a glass bottle with cotton rope.
First you need to remove the labels from the bottles. Wash and degrease glass bottles well.
Today we will use the following items: an empty glass bottle, 6mm cotton rope (about 12 meters). And the main tool is a glue gun.
We should begin to glue the rope from the very bottom of the bottle.
I glued each loop of the rope around the bottle.
I’ve spent about 2 hours on the decoration of the bottle. There is a photo below. You can look at the result of my work there.
Decorate a glass bottle with old keys. The idea itself is amazing.
As you may have already understood from the name, we will use a glass bottle and old keys. We also will need a paint gun and a glue gun.
There are three decoration options:
- Glue the keys. Then paint.
- Paint the bottle. Then glue the keys and paint the whole thing again.
- Paint the bottle. Then glue the pre-painted keys.
- Do not paint the bottle. Glue already painted keys.
As for me, I painted the glass bottle first, then dried it. After that, I glued the keys and painted the bottle again in a copper color.
