We will make the necklace for the pendant from memory wire, silicone tubing, stone beads and brass jewelry findings. I will be using soft, natural brass wire of 1 mm and 0.4 mm thickness. It is very difficult to find the right hardness brass wire. After using copper wire, it is difficult to work with other metals. That’s why I keep telling you in my Wire wrapping pendant tutorial that soft copper wire is perfect for weaving wire jewelry.

I bought brass from an online store. It was stated that it was a soft brass wire. In fact, the 1mm wire was stiffer than I needed for the work. I had to anneal the wire to make it softer. The thin brass more or less matched the stiffness.

Maybe the wire you buy on the web will work for you in every way (which I wish from the bottom of my heart). But nevertheless, be prepared to work prepare the wire before you start making your own brass jewelry.

Stones for the necklace.

For the pendant, I used a drop-shaped natural stone with a hole. For the necklace, I selected matching color natural stone beads.

To work with the memory wire, we need big wire cutters and big round pliers. Don’t use small tools, memory wire is very tough – you’ll ruin the jewelry tool! That’s a very important advice from my Wire wrapping pendant tutorial.

To polish the wire, we will need a grinder with felt tips. Use polishing pastes for successful polishing.

We will need three pieces of brass wire 1 mm thick. Approximately in the middle, start weaving the thin brass wire to both sides in any weaving technique.

In the process, bend the weaving around the stone. Weave both sides up to the holes. Bend a thick wire and slip it through the hole.

Don’t be frightened, I just flipped the pendant in the process (in the next photo). Bend the wire as shown in the photo.

Cut the wire and hide the ends of the wire, bend and put under the weaving.

Sew the weaving.

Cut the excess wire and bend it nicely. Sew the second pair to the bottom weaving as well.

First, we need to get the materials ready. Prepare the fittings. Calculate the size and cut the silicone tubing.

In the interest of economy, do not cut the memory wire. String all parts alternately on the memory wire.

Bend the wire and make a ring at the end of the memory wire. You can use large round pliers.

Move all the parts to the beginning, leaving about a centimeter and cut off the wire with large wire cutters. Bend the wire and make a ring using round pliers.
