How To Make The Corkscrew Paracord 550 Survival Bracelet.

For making Diy paracord bracelets, I usually use two different colors of paracord connected together, which then will be weaved together. Many different combinations of the two colors can be used. The Corkscrew bracelet is kind of round rather than flat – like many other paracord bracelets weaved in other ways.

I don’t go camping often and don’t need a paracord bracelet for its survival purpose. I gift bracelets to my fishing and hiking friends. For me, making paracord bracelets is a fun activity and my hobby. Along with jewelry making, paracord weaving has been a great hobby in my family for a long time. So, these Diy paracord bracelet instructions will help you to spend time with joy and make something useful at the same time.

Materials for making a Diy paracord bracelet with my own hands.

To make a Diy corkscrew paracord bracelet, you will need two pieces of 550 paracord, about 5 feet (1.5 meters) each of different colors. The total length of the paracord is 10 feet (3 meters). Choose the color for your bracelet yourself. It is better to choose contrasting colors.

If we add release buckles to our paracord bracelet – it would be even better. Side release buckles are very easy to use and mount – it won’t take you much time to connect them to your bracelet. You can always turn them on and off but the connection is very strong. It won’t ever let you down. If you strictly follow my Diy paracord bracelet instructions, it will serve you for decades.

I used a small plastic release buckle for a paracord bracelet. Buckle Size: the size of these side release buckles is about 1.14 inch/ 2.9 cm in total length, 0.59 inch/ 1.5 cm in total width. Buckles are available in many colors. Try to match the color of the buckle with the color of your bracelet.
We will need scissors, a ruler and a gas lighter in order to melt the ends of the paracord.

Bracelet size.

To know what size to make the bracelet you need to measure your wrist. You can measure your wrist with special tools or just measure it with a piece of paracord and then put it on the ruler.

How to connect two pieces of 550 paracord.

To join two pieces of paracord we need a lighter. Heat the two ends of the paracord at the same time so they start to melt. Then evenly join them together. Carefully smooth the joint with your fingers. Be careful! Wet your fingers beforehand so that you don’t burn yourself.

Pay more attention to making sure that the thickness of the joint matches the thickness of the cord. The appearance of the melted ends is not particularly important. The joint will be covered by other cords in the weaving process.

You can weave bracelets of paracord on special devices. But you can also fix it on a piece of cardboard with a simple clamp. Or you can just weave it in your hands. I weaved this bracelet without using any devices – just holding it in my hands.
Fasten the paracord to the buckle by slipping it into the hole.

Slip the ends of the paracord on the other side of the buckle as shown in the photo below. You can put this loop on your hand to try the bracelet on your wrist.

Undo the buckle.

Let’s check the size of the bracelet again. Now we will need your wrist size. Adjust if necessary the length of the paracord to the size of your wrist.
Next, we need to tie the first knot. After that, you cannot adjust the size of the bracelet.

You can now fasten the buckle on your wrist to finally check the size of the bracelet. If you need to resize the bracelet, untie the knot and resize it.

Continue weaving the paracord bracelet.

Wrap the two main cords twice using black paracord and leave them on the right side. It may be a little confusing at first. Then you will see that this bracelet is very easy to weave. There is some awkwardness in the process. But overall, it is an easy bracelet to weave. As you have already noticed, my tutorials are very simple and these Diy paracord bracelet instructions are not an exception.

Take the yellow paracord and wrap the main cords as shown in the photo below.

Leave the yellow cord on the left.

Wrap with a black cord.

Wrap the yellow cord around it.

Wrap again with black paracord.

As you have already realized, in this way, using the left and right cords alternately we are wrapping the main cords all the way around. Watch the tightness of the knots. Cut, melt, and flatten both ends of the paracord.
